RAYEYE Σ is an integrated underwater awareness system engineered around a fundamentally different approach: an open-flooded, pressure-equalized architecture built specifically for underwater use.
Unlike conventional dive mirrors that are generally attached with straps, bungees, or external holders, RAYEYE Σ integrates the reflective viewing system into a purpose-built glove-mounted platform. The result is a lower-profile, more secure, and more hydrodynamic system that moves naturally with the diver’s hand.
At the core of the design is its open-flooded equalization system. Purpose-engineered channels allow surrounding water to enter, circulate through, and drain from the housing. Instead of relying on a sealed cavity or trapped air volume, the system allows internal and external pressure to remain naturally balanced as depth changes.
This architecture provides important underwater advantages:
Continuous pressure equalization without electronics, valves, or sealed pressure chambers.
Open water circulation and drainage through the housing.
Reduced pressure differential across the housing and mirror assembly.
No dependence on trapped air that changes volume with depth.
Reduced unnecessary internal pressure loading on the structure.
Consistent operation throughout the dive without batteries, software, or connectivity.
This open-flooded architecture is a defining distinction of RAYEYE Σ. Conventional hand- and wrist-mounted dive mirrors are generally designed as mirror-and-strap accessories. RAYEYE Σ was developed as a purpose-engineered underwater platform, combining the viewing element, hydrodynamic housing, ergonomic glove mounting, drainage, and pressure equalization into one integrated wearable system.
The system is designed to help divers monitor buddies, equipment, surroundings, and areas outside the normal field of view with less unnecessary body movement while maintaining comfort and mobility underwater.

THE OPERATIONAL PROBLEM
UNDERWATER, YOU CAN'T ALWAYS SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING BEHIND YOU
Divers regularly need to monitor buddy position, hose routing, equipment placement, group movement, and surrounding activity.
These checks often require repeated head turning or upper-body rotation. During longer dives or task-intensive situations, that movement can become inefficient, distracting, and disruptive to natural underwater positioning.

RAYEYE Σ places the viewing interface directly on the diver’s glove, keeping it naturally accessible during the dive.
With a simple movement of the hand, the convex viewing surface provides a quick visual reference of nearby activity behind or beside the diver, helping reduce unnecessary head turning and body rotation.
The system is not intended to replace normal observation. It is designed to supplement the diver’s existing awareness practices through a compact, naturally positioned, non-electronic interface.
